Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 started Friday’s session on a lower note. Losses in financial and IT shares pulled the headline indices lower, though gains in auto, metal and healthcare stocks lent some support. Broader markets strengthened, also aiding investor sentiment, with the midcap and small cap indices up 0.1 percent and 0.5 percent respectively. Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed Star Health’s shares are likely to be listed on BSE and NSE .
Tata Motors to hike PV prices from January 2022
Tata Motors will increase the prices of its passenger vehicles from January. The prices of commodities, raw material and other input costs continue to rise, the auto maker said. Tata Motors shares were flat at Rs 494.1 apiece on BSE in the morning. Tata Motors had earlier announced a price hike in the CV segment.

Gold prices continue to trade below USD 1,780 per ounce; USD 1,800 per ounce has been resistant for some time now, but an even deeper decline is seen in silver.
It is trading at a 10-weeks low, below USD 22 per ounce and silver has hit a 10-year high at USD 30 per ounce this year. Silver is on track to post the worst yearly loss since 2014. So 2021 has not been the year for precious metals.
