RBI reference rate was fixed at 75.58 y’day. June USD/INR closed at 75.35, loss of 40 ps for USD as compared to prior day’s close of 75.75. June Euro/INR closed at 84.09, GBP/INR at 94.43 and Yen/INR at 69.89.
FII’S have nett bought Rs 11796 Cr of Indian Equities in May . FII’S have nett sold Rs 20653 Cr of Indian debt securities in May. In FY 19-20, FII’s have sold Rs 10200 Cr of Equities and 47393 cr of debt.

Economic news: Moody’s downgraded Indian sovereign rating to Baa3, one notch above junk grade and the outlook was maintained as negative. Slow down in growth and increase in debt/GDP were cited as reasons for the downgrade. 10 Year bond yield moved to 6.07%. However, there was no negative reaction in USD/INR pair.
Expectations for additional support from the European Central Bank and the German government boosted European stocks and the EURO. Oil prices climbed on renewed U.S. demand for gasoline and hopes that major crude producers will agree this week to extend output cuts. U.S.
